Over a decade ago, an enthusiastic group of volunteers from the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Vero Beach (home of the Emerson Center) launched this impressive facility honoring the spirit of Ralph Waldo Emerson and his commitment to each of us living a rich, full life. The Emerson Center became a natural addition to Vero Beach’s thriving cultural and arts community. I’m delighted to join these volunteers as the center’s new Executive Director. As a newcomer to Vero Beach, the passion for the arts this community embraces is like none I have ever seen. I hail from Washington State yet knew this community would be my ultimate destination when my parents retired here over 40 years ago. At The Emerson Center, we match the Treasure Coast’s commitment to supporting the arts, culture, and humanities by creating experiences in honor of Ralph Waldo Emerson’s vision of sipping the nectar of all life offers. This season, we continue The Emerson’s Center’s tradition of captivating programs. We kick off the 2019– 2020 season with the spectacular Humanities Series and continue infusing our program with current topical presentations and musical performances sure to get you rockin’-in- your-seat. Live! From Vero Beach brings us the hottest entertainment around! To this date, The Emerson Center continues to be run by a cadre of dedicated volunteers. Their continuous efforts support a quality experience. Come say hello to the friendly and professional staff at all of our events. Be sure to visit our  Art at the Emerson Gallery featuring rotating art exhibitions, and the Fair Trade Corner, offering goods from villages around the world.
